Ludovica Castiglia

BIOGRAPHY

Ludovica is a Ph.D. candidate affiliated with the Strategic Management department. Her dissertation work aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the changing nature of the relationship between organizations and their socio-political environment, and the way organizations successfully address emerging challenges. Specifically, her research delves into the multifaceted effects of the growing political divide on organizations. She examines how organizations navigate an increasingly polarized landscape and how ideological and affective polarization might influence critical corporate outcomes, including innovation. Her research also focuses on how businesses in contested and stigmatized categories can thrive in such contexts. Ludovica studies politically polarized environments, including crowdfunding (i.e., Kickstarter) and ESG-oriented mutual funds and ETFs.

An engineer by background, before joining the Ph.D. program at ҹȤ´«Ã½, Ludovica’s professional journey included roles as a process engineer in a multinational FMCG company. She then transitioned to an e-commerce and cloud computing multinational as an operations area manager. Ludovica later joined a strategic consultancy firm as a consultant, gaining valuable experience working on projects spanning diverse industries.
